Fall Conference 2026

COMPASSION Without COLLAPSE: ETHICS, LOVE, AND HEALING THE HELPER
Can we truly serve humans without bringing love into our work and if we do, what is the cost? This conference addresses the tension between ethical professionalism and human connection, examining how love, empathy, and care function within human service roles.
Attendees will explore the impact of secondary trauma, emotional overinvestment, and burnout, while learning how intentional self-care and self-love can restore balance.
The goal is not to remove compassion, but to practice it in ways that protect both the client and the professional.
Take care of yourself so you can keep showing up for others.
Speaker:
YOLO AKILI ROBINSON
Executive Director of Beam (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective).
