Kaleidoscope: Holding space for cultural complexity in the mental health treatment of children and adolescents

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss, demonstrate and practice the art of engaging with clients in therapeutic settings.  Participants will explore the implications of race, culture, ethnicity, social economic status and other ways people identify. Clinicians will be invited to consider their cultural identity and experiences as both assets and potential barriers to creating a solid therapeutic relationship to do good clinical work.
